This makes the perfect breakfast or dessert because its so sweet and chocolate-y while still being oil free and refined sugar free! I've been totally obsessed with making different granola flavors recently, and this has been my boyfriend's favorite so far!

Ingredients:
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 tbsp cacao powder
2 tbsp unsweetened applesauce
dash of vanilla and almond extract
shake of salt
Instructions:
Pre-heat your oven to 375.
Spread out a piece of parchment paper on a large baking sheet - you may need two sheets.
Mix all your ingredients in a bowl, making sure that all the dry ingredients are completely coated with the maple syrup and applesauce.
Spread your granola in a thin layer on the baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes. Granola should be golden so that it gets crunchy, but be careful not to burn it!
The other trick to getting your granola super crunch is leaving it to sit out for about an hour before storing it in an airtight container - you want it to be totally cool before storing!
and to serve....
Left: dry granola with blueberries for dessert
Left-Middle: strawberry, watermelon, banana smoothie topped with granola and blueberries
Right-Middle: PBfit Chia Pudding (2 tbsp chia seeds, 1 tbsp Pb Fit, 1 tbs Stevia, 1/3 cup of almond milk - stir and allow to sit overnight in the fridge) topped with granola, blueberries and banana
Right: papaya, blueberries, granola and cacao nibs
