Hello holiday season! I love gift giving because I think its a special way to show someone you know them or have been thinking about them. In case you're having a little bit of trouble thinking I've ideas, I've accumulated a list of things I love, things I want, things I love giving, and things I love receiving! I hope something here helps ya out... happy holidays!
Bala Set, yoga set, or other home workout equipment
So this is something on my Christmas List hehe (linked here). This is great for anyone who enjoys working out! Home workout equipment can be super pricey so its always nice to get some gifted. I like this set as I've been moving more into pilates style workouts, but there are tons of different options.
If you have a friend or family member that is into yoga or just getting started, alo makes an awesome set with everything you need (linked here) and you can upgrade it to include a year membership to their yoga program, alo moves (linked here). If your yogi loved one is a little more advanced, their yoga wheel is cool too!
You can also do resistance bands, free weights, kettlebells - they all make great gifts! If you're on a budget, T.J. Maxx usually has good deals on workout equipment!
Massage/ Facial/ Pedicure
This is one of my favorite gifts to receive. I think this makes a great gift because all kinds of services are things that people usually don't want to splurge on with their own money, so it's nice to do the splurge for them. Services go a long way!
Book of the Month Club (or other subscriptions)
This is a fun gift because it keeps on giving! Book of the Month Club (linked here) is nice because the receiver can choose the book they receive each month!
Another fun subscription to give to a beauty or make-up lover is BirchBox (linked here) - this one is fun because it's a little surprise every month. It will give the gift receiver a chance to try a ton of different products too!
A lot of apps also have subscriptions. Do you know someone who is a health and wellness junkie or could use a little more calmness or mindfulness in their life? Subscriptions to apps like Headspace or Calm can be a great gift. This is another thing that someone may want but isn't willing to splurge on themself.
The final subscription suggestion I have is the Craft Beer Club (linked here). This is obviously for the beer-lover in your life. I had never heard of this one until one of my friend's dad was showing me what he had received and talking about how much he loved it.
Books
I think books are always a nice gift because they can be an opportunity to show that you really know and care about someone and know what they like. Linking a list of my top favorite books here. In my opinion, you can never have too many books.
Moka Pot + Coffee grounds
My moka pot is probably my favorite gift I have ever received. I love lattes and being able to make them on my own and save that $$$ is awesome. If you know someone who loves coffee this is a great gift!! Linking the one I have here.
You can make it a cute little gift duo too with a bag of freshly ground coffee from your fav coffee shop! I personally think its fun trying coffee from everywhere, and I think the coffee lover in your life will too!
Yoga/ Fitness Classes
Another great gift for the fitness lover in your life! I loooove getting a 10 class pack to a local yoga studio, but you can really do this for any kind of studio! I think this is another thing that people sometimes don't want to splurge on so its nice to get it as a gift.
This could also be a subscription to a workout app. My personal favorite is the Sweat App, but for someone who likes pilates, Tasha Franken Studio and Melissa Wood Health are both great options!
Shared Experience
This is another gift I think is super thoughtful. This could be anything from a weekend getaway, concert tickets, or tickets to a sporting event. Whatever you and that person like to do together!
Records
Ty's suggestion, but also a gift that I think can have a lot of sentimental value. Records can be reminders of songs that have meaning to the two of you all or a chance to show how well you know someone's taste.
Plants
I think this is another gift that keeps giving and a sweet way to liven up someones space. You could also go with a kit to grow your own garden/ herbs or whatever. This is a fun one and useful for someone who likes to cook. Ty's mom got me this one last year and it was fun to grow and take care of the herbs - and super easy!
Luggage
My mom gave me a set of three hardshell Tommy Hilfiger suitcases one year and it was honestly one of the best presents I've ever received. Good luggage can be a big investment but is soooo useful.
You don't have to totally ball out with a nice suitcase set though. If you have a boyfriend, brother, male cousin, husband, etc, have you ever noticed what they pack their toiletries in? If its a nasty old plastic bag please buy them a nice dopp bag/ travel bag - my boyfriend has this one and likes it.
Games
A few years ago during Secret Santa with my high school friends I gave my friend the game What? Girls Night Edition, and we ended up playing it for a couple hours after we did our gift exchange. This has been one of my go-to gifts since then and I think games are especially fun to give during a group gift exchange. Two of my other favorite games to play with a group are New Phone, Who Dis? and What do you Meme? Overrated.
A puzzle is another fun game like gift for someone you spend a lot of time with - you can get a meaningful one and do it together!
Self Care Set
This gift is just fun to put together! Adding a list of some of my favorite products that would make a great self care basket.
Face Masks - My favorite ones are from Glossier - get them the duo linked here. I also think that under-eye masks are awesome - linking my favorite ones here.
Hair Mask - Masks aren't just for your face - linking my favorite hair mask here. It's so hydrating and smells amazing.
Ice Roller - This was a major splurge for me but I absolutely love it. The Skinny Confidential Ice Roller, in my opinion, is a major skincare game changer. I honestly think anyone can benefit from it and it feels soooo good! Get them the travel bag for it too!
CBD - My favorite way to relax is with CBD drops from JustLive. I do have a partnership with them because I pretty much love all of their products (I would not recommend them if I didn't!) I also use the Pain Relief Cream and Roll on Freeze regularly for sore muscles and achey-ness. The sleep gummies are my other go to for relaxing and my dad swears that the energy gummies have improved his golf game. Choose what you think your loved one will benefit from. Shop with code caroline15 for 15% off your order.
LastObject set - This is a cool gift for a beauty and sustainability lover (linked here)- they make reusable make up/ skincare swabs that are normally single use. I like the LastRound because I use cotton pads a ton and they are great for travel! And you can use CAROLINE10 for 10% off your order!
Candles - I like these ones from Public Goods (shop with code SIMPLYRADISHINGPGA for a discount) and this one from Coconut Bowls (shop with code carolineo10 for a discount) because its so cute! If you want to spice it up a little, the massage candle from Maude makes a good gift - linked here (shop with code CAROLINE5 for a discount).
Other Fillers - Fuzzy socks and hair accessories can always be good additions to a wellness basket too. I just got an oversized scrunchie from alo and its one of my favorite fun accessories right now - linking here. You could also toss in a warm scarf or beanie.
