Hello, hello! If you follow me on Instagram, @simply__radishing, then you have probably seen plenty of posts about a project that I am working on with two of my friends: The 2021 Total Revival (TR21 for short). I have been lucky to find two great friends here (Hannah and Sophia) that share a similar dedication to health as me. We all agreed that 2020 has been a roller coaster of a year, affecting us all in different ways, and that 2020 could be a year to focus on our health, both mentally and physically. The idea for this plan was born in November, and after a several weeks of hard work, the plan is now live on our website and will officially start this Sunday, January 17! Oh, and did I mention? So what is it?
Between the three of us, we compiled some of our favorite recipes, workouts, mindfulness practices, books, and podcasts to promote a healthier body and mind in 2021. We have provided a blank calendar, and you can use to build a plan for yourself. You can focus on eating better, working out more regularly, being more mindful, or all three! It's totally up to you! This plan isn't strict or restrictive, because it's designed to create small changes in your lifestyle in order to form lasting habits for a healthier and happier life!
We like keeping things real...
When we designed this plan, we all agreed that following a super strict plan or diet isn't always the best way to get results. A lot of times, this can be really discouraging when you get off track a little. It can also be super super straining on your mental well-being. We emphasize mental well-being a lot in this plan, which is why we included a section for the mind, with journal prompts, meditation, and self care/ mindfulness book recommendations. We also will be providing support and check ins through the duration of the 21 days (beginning January 17) because we believe in building a community and offering mental support to everyone! And if you're not ready to start on Sunday, that's fine! Pick any 21 days and make your schedule!
We realize nobody is perfect - including us - which is why we had a little delay in releasing it! We recognize that everyone is busy, and hope you'll do the same for us!
Why 21 days?
As I've mentioned earlier, this is NOT a restrictive plan at all. It is simply a guide to creating small changes that will last! We chose 21 days, because it takes 21 days to break a bad habit, and 21 days to form a good one!
